Mobile number portability delayed – again!
Those hoping to change their mobile phone provider on the 18th of September have once again be stymied. ICASA has issued an indefinite delay to the implementation of MNP. This is the second delay, and no deadline has been set this time. The halt to the MNP initiative seems to have stemmed from the combined request of Cell C, MTN and Vodacom.
Just when we’ve seen some deregulation with the introduction of the SNO, our wise government officials once again make it clear that large corporates rule the roost!
