A pity that after the installation of Adobe Flash Player 10 the WordPress image uploader I rely on is no longer functional. The issue is similar to that experienced when using Firefox on certain Linux distributions: the click on the Choose files to upload button is unable to invoke the necessary function to get to the file explorer to permit browsing of images on the filesystem.

The thoughtful advice provided by the WordPress team to try the Browser uploader instead solves the problem, but is not as elegant. I see that WordPress 2.6.3 is available, but I have not yet upgraded. Possibly, support for Flash 10 is built into that release. Otherwise, I’m certain there’ll be a fix in the next version…
